Jazzy's story

I am new here, and have read many of your stories. My partner and I have been together for 16 years now and most pretty good. We share two beautiful girls and a house full of debt. The last five years have been an on-and-off again affair for my partner with gambling.

You always hear the same sob story that he has reached rock bottom and it will never happen again, only to find out that it never really stopped.

Well except for one real try he did stop for about 10 months from going to the casino. He was still gambling though on lotto, keno, etc.

The last three months was when the big spending hit again because of a job layoff. The word is the gambler falls off the wagon during a crisis.

Gut instinct is always a good indication especially for woman, so never second guess. The trust really is gone now, and must be earned back.

He does like the stories on website for problem gamblers, helps him relate. He will be going to Gamblers Anonymous. The lump total as of today is about $50,000 with bankruptcy now looming over our heads.

Thank goodness I have control of all finances, I hide my wallet, and hope for the best. There will not be anymore chances as I do have somewhere to go if need be. Fingers crossed, as there is hope by admittance, then hope it shall be.
