Joanne's story

My partner had a serious gambling problem and lost a lot of money, but he went Gamblers Anonymous five years ago and stopped gambling completely.

I have just found out he started again in April 2013 and has blamed it on the death of his father who he was very close to. He has lost a substantial amount of money in 10 months.

I am devastated not just about the money but the fact he has been lying to me all this time. I don't think I will ever be able to trust him again and the best thing for me to have any peace of mind or happiness would be for me to leave him.

My friends have advised me to leave him as this is the second time he has done this to me and will do it again  help!
