My 2014 New Year’s resolution's story

I have a long list of things I would like to change in 2014. My number one top priority is to STOP PLAYING THE POKIES!

This was on top of my list last year too but I broke my promise to myself in January and then each month after that and before I realised it, the year was over.

Now I'm here making the same resolution and I just hope to God that I have the strength and willpower to stay away from the greedy money hungry pokie venues which can be seen where ever I turn.

There is a pokie club just about on every corner where I live and each time I pass them I get a sickening feeling inside. Having said that, why then have I been playing the machines for the past 14 years? I have been asking myself that question over and over again and cannot come up with an answer. 

I have ruined my life because of pokie machines but I still kept on going back. I pray that I go back NO MORE!

I am so ashamed for losing all my savings and also my home. Now I rent and feel like such a failure.

May 2014 be a better year financially and otherwise for me and all of you out there who are in the same boat.
