Where do I start? I have gambled going on 40 years and after each big loss the same thoughts enter my head: never again. 'Til next time that is.

The roulette machines in the bookies have emptied my bank accounts in the last 12 months. Been tellin' myself for ages that these betting terminals are fixed but haven’t been able to resist the buzz. But what an expensive buzz it has been!

I have been to Gamblers Anonymous, seen numerous therapists, and acknowledge that what’s been said makes sense but yet have still fed the machines with my hard-earned cash.

Fool me. I would have been retired now if I had kept hold of my money instead of feeding my craving for the spin of the wheel. What a horrible addiction gambling has been in my life and I can only now stop because I have nothing left to gamble with.
