Hi, I’m Beck. I’m 35 years old I used to be able to gamble responsibly and have a bit of fun until I got a win of $3000. It was that day I instantly got addicted. I cashed out and couldn’t help thinking I’d win bigger. I ended up putting the whole lot back in and losing it and withdrew $500 and lost that trying to make up for the $3000 I’d previously lost. I left with nothing! 

In the last 2 months I have spent roughly $4000 on pokies. I’ve had wins but ultimately I’ve lost and I lie to my boyfriend to get extra money and I’m constantly getting payday loans. It’s ruining my life but I can’t stop. I make good money, I get $1700 a week and half of that I spend on payday in about 10 minutes on the pokies. I never leave with winnings because I keep feeding the winnings back in.

I’m going to tell my boyfriend about what I’ve been doing and try to get help.
